About the Work

Based in Kigali, Rwanda, Jean Bizimana is a documentary photographer and multimedia journalist specializing in human-centered storytelling, humanitarian documentation, and editorial assignments.

He collaborates regularly with international NGOs, UN agencies, editorial publications, and civic organizations across Rwanda, the Great Lakes region, and beyond. His work focuses on capturing authentic, dignified narratives around community resilience, social development, and youth empowerment—including his long-standing work with Through the Eyes of Children.
